So fluid, like water.

Looks like fun =)

Be careful out there, guys and gals. Damage is done every single time you get hit in the head, whether or not you get knocked out. Head gear and other protective wear can save your life, but nothing protects you better than avoiding the hit altogether!

And this is why my goal is not “to earn a blackbelt.” (note the period)
My goal is to earn an education, earn a blackbelt, open a dojang (or even make use of someone else’s), and teach. I want to continue to learn for the rest of my life, through those who have come before me, through practice, and through teaching… I want to make a difference in somebody’s life; to inspire someone to give something… anything, their all.
And TKD seems like the perfect way to do it.

Reblog this if you REALLY remember that movie “Only the strong”

This is one of my favorite movies, actually. I was already into capoeira before I found it on Netflix, but I watched it two or three times that week ^^

“If you always put limits on what you can do, physical or anything else, it’ll spread over into the rest of your life. It’ll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”

“Parkour, in the physical domain, is the path to essence. That means to think - with intelligence - and to cut out all the superfluous, the useless, to go straight to the essential. To know how to do, to know yourself, and what you can do.”-David Belle(in an interview with Sebastien Foucan)

This shows several of my favorite aspects of Capoeira: The constant movement, precise control, fluid transitions, constant eye contact (even in the cartwheel), deceptive power, and, of course, the rhythm. Enjoy!
